If your train arrives at Seoul Station and you’re ready to take off, hurry out the doors to Seoullo 7017 right away! A pedestrian strolling route was created out of what was formerly an overpass in the vicinity of Seoul Station in the 1970s, giving the location the romantic moniker of “sky garden.”

Located in the heart of Seoul, Seoullo 7017 is an elevated sky garden that serves as a popular strolling destination and tourist attraction. Originally a highway bridge, it has subsequently been converted into a pedestrian crossing for the benefit of the general public. Seoullo is a play on words that refers to the city’s initial establishment in 1970 and its revival as a sky garden in 2017. Aside from that, 17 pedestrian walkways enable tourists to stroll through various local neighborhoods. Seoullo 7017, located one kilometer above street level, provides a variety of rest spaces, vegetation, and cultural opportunities.

The subway is the most convenient mode of transportation to Seoullo 7017 Sky Garden. You may get to Seoul Station (Seoul Metro Line 1/4) by using the subway from any place in Seoul. Take Exit 2 to the right. Take a right and walk about 130 meters to your destination.

The Seoullo 7017 walking route has five concept roads: Mallidong Square, Rose Square, Toegye-ro Square, Magnolia Square, and the Hanyangdoseong-gil. Mallidong Square is the largest of the five idea roads. Toegye-ro is home to a comprehensive tourist information center and café known as Seoullo Travelers’ Cafe and a Seoullo gift store near the beginning of Toegye-ro Road’s selection of restaurants and cafes where tourists may buy Korean food items. During your stay at Seoullo 7017, you will have no time to be bored!

Heal with the plants and flowers

The sky garden has over 24,000 seasonal flowers and plants, some of which are 17 meters high. Some of the walkways are up to 17 meters in height. Seoullo 7017 has plants of different shapes and sizes in the Korean alphabetical order along the pathway. There are more than 50 different varieties of flowers and 228 different tree species, creating the illusion of an outdoor arboretum. You can also rest in a beautiful atmosphere by the bright roses in particular at the Rose Square.
